FAQ
To keep your tulips fresh and thriving, make sure to change the vase water every day or two to make them last as long as possible. Changing their water will also prevent harmful bacteria from developing in the water and damaging your flowers.
Your tulips will be delivered in a vase of water to complement the arrangement, with flower food already added to the water.
Tulips are photosensitive, which means they grow and open based on the sunlight they receive - so you should avoid placing your vase in direct sunlight or heat. Placing the vase in direct sunlight will cause the tulips to wilt faster once the blooms have opened up. Tulips’ stems naturally bend towards the sunlight but if their stems look floppy it’s a good idea to move them to a cooler place away from the sun.
Looking to keep your tulips fresh for as long as possible? Here are some ways you can keep your tulips thriving in a vase:
- Don’t overfill: While tulips need water, they last longer in shallow water - so when changing the water, it’s best to fill the vase ⅓ of the way up.
- Refresh the water: Change the vase water every one to two days to avoid bacteria growth and make your tulips last as long as possible.
- Avoid direct sunlight: Your tulips will drop their petals quickly once they’ve opened up fully, so keep them out of sunlight and heat to help them stay fresh for longer.

We always retain the wonderful element of surprising the person you’re sending flowers to. If our delivery driver knocks on the door and there is no answer, our customer service team will call to the recipient’s phone number. If no one answers, we may call you to ask to advise. If our driver is at a business or residence where there is a safe location we will leave it in a safe place, and then leave a voicemail for your recipient to let them know they have flowers. We’ll leave our information as well so that they can reach out in case there are any concerns. In occurrences when we do not feel like there is a safe place to leave the flowers, we return them to the shop and notify you and your recipient, letting your recipient know to reach out to us to reschedule the delivery of a fresh arrangement at a time that works best for them. This is something we offer typically at no extra cost.
